Community Work Study for Partners
Community Work Study allows students to gain an experiential understanding of community-based service work while earning money through part-time employment. Students are paid through their federal work study financial aid award and work with local schools and non-profits.
Community Work Study Partner Benefits:

- Improve ability to meet the needs of others
- Performed work and or complete tasks
- Increased number of those served
Community Work Study Partners Commit To:
- Develop a work plan and learning goals with the Community Work Study students
- Serve as a mentor and facilitate regular supervisory meetings with students
- Provide an orientation to the organization’s history, mission, values, and work
- Approve timesheets on bi-weekly basis
Community Work Study Partner Requirements:
- Organization must be a school or non-profit organization.
- Organizations must complete a training with the Program Coordinator and submit a Community Work Study contract.
- Complete and update a position description prior to the start of the academic year.
