Meet Inspiring Minds
For over 50 years, Inspiring Minds has served students by providing the academic and social-emotional support they need to succeed. Names, faces, ethnicities, and languages have changed during those years; the disadvantages of poverty have not. Just as the founders knew in their hearts, children are always waiting to benefit from individual attention. The sustained support from a caring community makes it possible.

Inspiring Minds works collaboratively with faculty at RIC, URI, and CCRI’s education and human services departments. They place nearly 400 undergraduates in service learning for credit each year. They also collaborate with departments seeking internships for undergraduate and graduate students in nonprofit administration, business, and finance.
